Welcome to The Spindle, a small personally run Bed and Breakfast situated in a central but quiet location in the famous town of St. Andrews.
The Spindle is south-facing and sits overlooking the Kinness Burn which flows along the foot of the garden. The garden has lovely terraced areas and little 'sitooteries' where you can relax and watch the world go by whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
A hearty Scottish breakfast is served in a bay window overlooking the garden and burn. On offer each morning are dishes such as a full cooked platter with haggis and black pudding, scrambled egg and smoked salmon, a vegetarian assortment as well as fresh fruits, cereals, home made preserves, toast and croissant. When possible the eggs are produced by the girls in the garden.
In addition to the comfy bedrooms, guests are welcome to use the restful lounge/ breakfast room where they will find an assortment of books, magazines and local information.
Just a couple of minutes walk from The Spindle you will find a vast range of shops, quality restaurants, museums, University buildings and of course Golf!
There are also many historic attractions in and around St. Andrews, such as Kellie Castle and Falkland Palace which are both within easy reach of town and should not be missed. The many beautiful fishing villages dotted along the coast are also well worth a visit.
